Since it's incorporation as a California non-profit organization in 1993, The Lasiewicz Foundation has provided funding and organizational assistance for local and international charitable causes.  The first five years our work was mostly supporting human rights, youth programs and refugee assistance in the former Yugoslavia which was, at that time, a war zone.  Our programs included “Bosnia Briefings”, a research and information service that brought news from the war zone to US media outlets.  Also, fundraising was done to assist NGO’s in the field under our “Convoy Bosnia” program.

The Lasiewicz Foundation hosted “Winter Warmup,” a clothing assistance program to benefit the homeless in Los Angeles.  Another local project was the “Neighborhood Project” which provided organizational support and outreach to support the launch of the Network of Neighborhood Councils in the City of Los Angeles.

In 2005, the Lasiewicz Foundation launched a new program called “Crossroads of Music” whose mission is to advocate and support and expand early childhood music education, especially in California.  Everyday, social scientists and educators are quantifying the importance of music as a core subject.
